Inspire A Generation League
Round 1 - Swansea Storm hosting
The PUKDS team took to the court in Swansea in their first season of the IAG League.
On Saturday 4th January, the PUKDS Wheelchair Basketball team took to the court at the LC Swansea, in their first ever competitive tournament with Inspire a Generation, part of British Wheelchair Basketball.
A fantastic day out and a big thank you to Swansea Storm Wheelchair Basketball Club for hosting the event.
PUKDS vs Cardiff Met Archers Wheelchair Basketball Club ended in a very close match with Archers taking the win 26 - 22.
PUKDS vs Storm was a very closely contested match, with the lead changing hands up to half-time. With Storm upping the tempo in the second half for the win 37 - 30.
An exceptional first outing for the PUKDS team, not only was it their first as a newly formed club, but to play 2 back to back full length matches, with no subs is credit to the hard work and dedication by the whole team.
We now start working on our game ready for the next round of matches in March.
