Inspire A Generation League
Round 2 - The Bears hosting
The PUKDS team took to the court in North Solihull in their first season of the IAG League in round 2.

On Sunday 9th March 2025 the PUKDS Wheelchair Basketball team headed to North Solihull for the next fixtures in the British Wheelchair Basketball's Inspire A Generation League.
It was The Bears hosting and who we faced in the opening match of the day. Taking the lead by the end of the first quarter, we were looking in control of the match, we were playing to our strengths and controlling the pace and tempo of the play. Going in to the second half, The Bears changed tactics and decided to press on defence, which was to good effect, forcing turnovers and resulting in baskets. The Bears took the lead and managed to hold on by two scores to win 22-18.
It was a quick turn around for PUKDS with back-to-back matches scheduled.
Cardiff Met Archers up next and they took a commanding lead from the start, but by the end of the first quarter, we had pulled the scores level. The next two quarters were very level with the teams trading baskets, but the fatigue started to creep in and with an injury to one of our players we were down to just the players on court to see out the fourth quarter which proved too difficult to keep up with a very good Archers team who managed the game comfortably to the end winning 32-26.
A fantastic day of wheelchair basketball and we now look forward to our home fixture on Saturday 22nd March 2025. See you there...
