What does your sponsorship pay for?

PUKDS has attracted members from all over the UK, as such it is costly for each member to attend events that can often be hundreds of miles from where they live. For this reason it is the aim to be able to provide travel and accommodation expenses so that members who are playing at these events can afford to do so in these times of a national cost of living crisis. Many see sport as a luxury, but for many of these members, these sports are the only exercise they take part in, because the power of sports recovery through team sports has such a positive effect on not just the physical condition but also a persons mental health and well-being.

Your sponsorship also helps us to secure sporting venues which are accessible for disabled people and are suitable for all types of adaptive sports. After travel expenses, venue hire is the second largest financial contributor to sporting events.

Your sponsorship can also help towards the costs of adaptive sports equipment which is often much more expensive than regular sports equipment and without it, we simply cannot provide the sports.
