Public Donations

Public donations provide a crucial and versatile funding stream for adaptive sports at PUKDS, offering stability, autonomy, and a direct connection to the community. Unlike corporate sponsorship, which often come with specific deliverables, public donations provide flexible funding that can be used where it is needed most.

How are donations supporting PUKDS?

By providing Financial Stability and Athlete Support:

Funding for specialized equipment:  Adaptive sports require highly specialised and often expensive equipment, such as custom wheelchairs, prosthetics, and modified gear. Public donations can directly fund the purchase, maintenance, and upgrade of this equipment, which is often difficult to cover through membership fees alone.

Reduced athlete costs: Donations can help subsidise or cover athletes' costs, including travel, accommodation, and competition fees. This makes the sport more financially accessible to people with disabilities, who may already face higher living expenses.

Operational funding: Public donations help cover the day-to-day costs of running PUKDS, such as accessible venue hire, insurance, coaching salaries, and administrative expenses. This stability allows us to focus on our mission rather than constantly worrying about finances.

Stability: Your donation allows us to focus on long-term goals, instead of short term survival.

Your donation will provide us with the vital funding necessary to deliver our events all over the UK to support the emergency, blue light, and volunteer services, the armed forces communities and their families, including the bereaved.
